Passenger Contract

Terms & Conditions

Clear, fair terms governing your reservation, voyage ticket contract, payment milestones, and travel protection.

1. Reservation & Deposit Requirements

A deposit equal to twenty percent (20%) of the total voyage fare is required at the time of booking to confirm stateroom availability. Reservations without paid deposit within 48 hours are automatically released to the inventory pool.

Final payment of the remaining eighty percent (80%) is due ninety (90) days prior to the published embarkation date. For reservations made within 90 days of sailing, full payment is required immediately upon confirmation.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Should you need to cancel your reservation, written notification must be transmitted to your Maris Voyage Concierge or via our digital portal. Cancellation fee scales are determined by the receipt date:

  • 91+ days prior to departure: 100% refund of deposit minus $100 administration fee.
  • 90 to 61 days prior: Forfeiture of the 20% deposit.
  • 60 to 31 days prior: 50% of the total published invoice value.
  • 30 days or fewer prior to departure: 100% of total invoice value (no refund).

3. Travel Documentation, Passports & Visas

All passengers are solely responsible for ensuring possession of valid biometric passports with at least 6 months validity beyond the voyage disembarkation date. Passengers must acquire all required entry visas, transit permits, and vaccination certificates mandated by the sovereign nations visited along the itinerary.

4. Itinerary Adjustments & Weather Safety

In the interest of passenger and maritime vessel safety, the Master of the Vessel retains absolute discretion to modify routes, omit ports of call, deviate from the published schedule, or substitute equivalent ports due to adverse weather, civil instability, or harbor master directives.

5. Maris Travel Protection

We emphatically advise every guest to purchase comprehensive travel protection covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and lost baggage prior to departure.
